A recent trip to Cape Town again showed what a 1st class destination this is, clean, safe and geared for easy travel. I was travelling with my daughter from Brisbane and my love of my life, both first time tourists to Cape Town.

So many things to do in Cape Town - can meet any activity a person wants to do, but we did the typical Cape Town scenic highlight "tour" - which allowed us to take a leisurely drive around the Cape Peninsular, for first time visitors and see the best on offer.

As usual one never knows what the weather will be like, so I geared it to meet the weather conditions, undertake activities to suit the weather conditions. After a great exploring weekend, they both said I should become a tour guide for Cape Town.

Day 1 was rainy but not to cold, day 2 started out beautiful but then became so wind with the Cape Doctor blowing for most of the day, and then day 3 was a perfect Cape Town day- 2km winds, crystal clear views, and what an amazing sunset to end off the day!

Our highlights were a visit to Boulders Beach and the penguins, scenic peninsular drive over Chapmans Peak, a picnic breakfast on top of Table Mountain, nearly being blown away at Cape Point, sundowners at the Brass Bell and catching up with my cousin, scenic drive past Grabouw to Gansbaai, lunch at Fabio's in Hermanus, and then an awesome slow drive from Hermanus past betty' Bay to Gordon's Bay (where we saw the only whale around that day :-)).

As typical when on holiday, the Sunday morning we left was again proving to be an awesome day in Cape Town.
